 The Milestones Project - Milestone 1

The “1 mile to Gloster” stone was situated on the straight north of the junction of the road with the main west-east road at Over. You can see it at the top of this map excerpt:

It was found in July 2006 by David Jones just south of the field entrance to the south, in the undergrowth, and rescued by Jeremy Chamberlayne. It has been reinstated at that field entrance where found owing to the very narrow verge at the original location:
